Chapel of Sacred Mirrors
Allyson Grey is an accomplished visionary artist recognized for her symbol system representing chaos, order and secret writing. Co-founder of the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, a social sculpture co-created with Alex and community, Allyson's paintings are exhibited and sold widely to corporate and private collections, including numerous commissions for permanent installations. With a Master of Fine Arts degree from Tufts University and the Boston Museum School, Allyson has been an educator and muse to artists for over 30 years. An invited speaker at many conferences and symposia, Allyson has been a presenter at the Women's Visionary Congress in California, the Horizons Conference in New York City and the World Psychedelic Forum in Basel, Switzerland. allyson@cosm.org | allysongrey.com
Alex Grey is a world-renowned artist, poet, and author is best loved for his paintings which portray multiple dimensions of reality, interweaving biological anatomy with psychic and spiritual energies. Alex's books, Sacred Mirrors, The Mission of Art, Transfigurations, and Art Psalms, trace the development of his work and the mystical experiences that have shaped his personal, spiritual, and artistic life. Alex's third and most recent monograph, Net of Being, addresses how his art is evolving the cultural body through icons of interconnectedness. His artwork is on view at CoSM, Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, a non-profit co-founded with his wife, Allyson in 1996 that became a church in 2008.
